About the Doctors

All of our doctors are specialist Dentist Anesthesiologists and have completed an accredited dental anesthesiology residency programs. All doctors are, or are in the process of becoming, Board Certified Diplomates with the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

During their training at level I trauma centers, they received extensive training in various anesthesia techniques including intubated general anesthetics, spinal/epidural/regional anesthetics, non-intubated/open airway anesthetics and many moderate/conscious sedation anesthetics. Patients ranged from ASA I to ASA IV undergoing a multitude of medical and dental procedures. They have also completed rotations in both internal medicine and cardiology. A particular area of focus in the program consisted of delivering specialized and individually tailored anesthetics to pediatric patients and patients with different special needs.

CarePoint is one of the most experienced and respected dental anesthesia groups in both Colorado and Michigan. It is also one of the largest groups in the country made up entirely of Specialists in Dental Anesthesiology. CarePoint Anesthesia has built a solid foundation and continues to set high standards and benchmarks within the growing specialty of Dental Anesthesiology.

Our doctors continue to stay involved in many areas of dental anesthesia including national leadership and academics. Some of our doctors hold associate professorship positions at highly regarded dental programs.  Many also lecture for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Dental Anesthesia and for the Advanced Education of General Dentistry programs.

Dr. Seth Arnall

Dr. Arnall was raised in the mountains of Northern Arizona which is a large part of who he is, it’s there that he gained a love for the outdoors and working with his hands. This love of nature inspired him to become a biology major at Northern Arizona University, which he then continued at East Tennessee State University after serving a two year church mission. At ETSU, he continued to work with his hands by pursuing a minor in jewelry and metalsmithing. This naturally evolved into an interest in dentistry which combined his love of biology and crafting with his hands.

During his time at ETSU he met and married his lovely wife Brandy and they started a family. He then attended the Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with honors. After graduation he worked as a dentist in the Verde Valley of Arizona, and eventually acquired a dental practice there. While in the Verde Valley he enjoyed his time serving his patients and living in the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Dr. Arnall was introduced to IV sedation during his time practicing in Arizona and it became his next professional love. He noticed however that many patients with deeply rooted anxieties and those with complex special needs required a level of anesthesia beyond what he then could provide. This drove him to take his love of anesthesia farther than just IV sedation. He was accepted to New York University Langone-Brooklyn for a three year anesthesia residency. He moved his wife and four kids, to the Big Apple where he learned the skills to safely provide all types of anesthesia in both office based and hospital settings. There he enjoyed treating thousands of patients, many of which were children and those with complex special needs.

Dr. Arnall loves serving the good people of Michigan, and providing an increased access to care in our communities is one of his top priorities. To Dr. Arnall anesthesia is nothing less than providing profound comfort and mercy to those that need it most.

Dr. Jackstien graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple along with other awards and accolades.

Dr. Rees grew up in the Southwest, living in both Prescott and Phoenix, Arizona. She attended Arizona State University and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Justice Studies. Dr. Rees was accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society during her time at ASU. Upon graduation, Dr. Rees had a change of heart and decided that the medical field, not the legal field, was her calling. She attended dental school at the University of Colorado Denver and graduated in 2012. Dr. Rees was drawn to the rewarding sense of service that comes with providing anesthesia to dental patients who otherwise would not be able to complete their much-needed dental treatment. She attended and completed her anesthesia residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In the future, she plans on serving the needs of patients in both Colorado and abroad; it is her philosophy that no patient, children and special needs populations in particular, should go without dental treatment out of fear or the inability to ‘make it through’ an appointment.

Dr. Rees is thrilled to be living back in Denver and enjoys all that Colorado has to offer. In her free time Dr. Rees enjoys hiking, camping, dancing, reading, cooking, trying new restaurants, and, most of all, traveling. She also has a special place in her heart for any four-legged creature; her dog Ella came from the Boulder Humane Society and has proven to be a wonderful study companion and roommate.

Dr. Taller continued at St Barnabas Hospital as chief resident of Dental Anesthesia. After 4 years in the Bronx, Dr. Taller was ready for a big change and brought her new husband out to Colorado for the adventure of a lifetime.
